Queen Elizabeth Park, Mackays Crossing Entrance. Open from 11am until 4.30pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays except Christmas Day. Operating with Heritage Electric Tram rides to the beach and back on the historic Wellingtom Tramcars we have restored. It's great Fun for all the family. Your Tram Ticket also provides access to our working Tram Barn/Museum with its King Kong Tram and Video, ex Wellington Cable Car and photograpic history of Wellington Tramway days. Kapiti Miniature Railway

Kapiti Miniature Railway

The railway hosts a collection of live steam, internal combustion and battery electric locomotives. The track is a double loop and includes one station, two tunnels, two spirals and two viaducts in a run of about ½ kilometre. Museum of Aviation (Kapiti) Inc
The Museum was opened in January 1995 to preserve New Zealand general aviation history. The emphasis is upon general aviation rather than military as other museums deal with this. More space for expansion of displays is being considered.
The museum is in the old Meteorological Building next to the Paraparaumu Airport Control Tower,
Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu. This is temporary accommodation pending development plans for airport changes overall. Presently the museum overlooks the airfield runways. For more information visit http://www.nzmuseums.co.nz/account/3190

Foxton Museum of History

Located in Main Street, on the corner of Avenue Road. Originally the main Court building,
it displays documents and articles of Foxton's historic past.
Foxton has a very long history and the museum is well worth a visit.
The museum is open on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm and at other times by arrangement.
