The three main visitor centres on the Nature Coast, The Paraparaumu Visitor Centre at Coastlands, the Kapiti Coast i-SITE in Otaki, and the Horowhenua i-SITE and AA Agency in Levin are open right through the holidays.  Staff are experts when it comes to local events, accommodation and activities; Ferry bookings for the South Island, and train trips anywhere in New Zealand.
