Learning centre, gallery space and teaching centre with a focus on Maori art and design. The gallery exhibits student, tutor and guest artwork. On site weaving and carving in progress are a feature.

Kapiti Coast Museum has been run by volunteers for over 20 years and includes a unique collection of local history items and radio communications equipment. The Museum is located in the old Post Office building of 1908.

The Paraparaumu Museum of Avation is housed in the old Meteorological Service building next to Paraparaumu airfield.
The Museum was opened in January 1995 to preserve New Zealand general aviation history. The emphasis is upon general aviation rather than military.There is information on New Zealand Pioneer Aviators from 1902 onwards as well as New Zealand Aviation Meteorology developments.
