The Art of Relaxation

Raumati Sands Resort, accommodation, unwind, luxury apartments, Raumati Beach, Kapiti

Stress creates wild, un-centred days, without a wider sense of vision. Raumati Sands Resort in Raumati Beach has been home to many guests who need space to leave life's stresses behind, just for awhile. This luxury 21 apartment complex is centred around one of the things our bodies need most to release tension and gently sooth ourselves back to health - water. There's a pool (heated in the cool months) and a spa pool. It's a tranquil place to unwind, physically and mentally.

It's Coast Time

This beach-themed resort creates an ambience, inside and out, that instantly makes guests feel relaxed; driftwood sculptures, beach inspired decor, and ikebana flower arrangements. Along with large, light rooms, there are all the mod cons; dishwasher, full laundry, separate lounge area (popular with corporate clients), and on-site parking.

Families love it here: Mum and Dad can relax on the deck chairs, finally getting through their stack of books; the kid's play in the pool, for hours and hours. Even after fun at the beach, they race back to the centre of things. Early evenings there are the sunsets to get lost in, and then there's the spa to soak away the day's activities. The kids sleep in one of the upstairs bedrooms so Mum and Dad can reconnect elsewhere.

Reunions, groups of friends, a need for space from family events - they all retreat here. The local restaurants are outstanding. Heather's connections to local businesses adds to guests' experiences. Good  shops aren't far away. The activities and events of the Nature Coast are accessible.

The sounds soothe here. The Tuis add their call, and it's easy to think you could be anywhere. Heather says that one bride had her wedding photos taken around the pool area and friends thought she'd got married overseas. "You don't need to go to Fiji to get that resort feel."

In order for things to flourish, there needs to be a connection to the centre or beginning of things; roots for a plant, a heartbeat, the beginning of a stream. There's everything you need at Raumati Sands to do the most important part of engaging with our world and the people around us - relax, wind down, refresh, and refocus.

Heather says living on the Nature Coast is like being in another world. So is Raumati Sands Resort.
